Rick's Lightning is build #314 of 3781, assembled on Sept.22, 2003
It was purchased from Northside Ford in San Antonio on Dec. 10, 2003
It's since racked up 18,000 miles along with a couple awards from a few car shows including- Best in Class @ Houston Area Lightning Owner's 2004 event
               First place in Class @ Randolph AFB show 2004
               Best in Class @ Fun Ford Weekend Baytown 2004
               Third place in Class @ Mean Streets II 2004
               Runner Up in Class @ Mustang Owners Club of Austin's 2004 event
               Best in Class @ Fun Ford Weekend Ennis 2004
               Second place in Class @ San Antonio Mustang Club's 2004 event
               Dealer's Choice @ Houston Area Lightning Owners's 2005 event

    In Feb. 2004 a trip down to San Antonio Raceway resulted in a 13.43 @ 103.81 time slip. The Lightning was stock minus the hitch then. A visit to the dyno shortly afterwards was made and the stock power-train turned out 356.0 hp and 427.1 tq at the rear wheels. A couple months later and the addition of some bolt-ons required another trip to the track, this time Temple Academy Dragway- 12.68 @ 108.14 w/1.86
A return trip to the dyno resulted in 402.1 hp & 494.6 tq at the rear wheels.
    To date the truck has been in for service work twice, one for the passenger side carpet being wet from a leak under the dash and another for the input seal on the differential. Both taken care of at Leif Johnson Ford. Rick recall's being pulled over several times but no tickets so far, just warnings for no front license plate.
    All mods (except muffler) have been installed by Rick w/support from his wife Erin.
