The first time I ever saw a ’96 Mystic Cobra in person was
at a Mustang Owners Club of Austin show outside Lakeline mall, I knew then
that I wanted one. How I came about owning my car is: On Feb. 26th 2002, an
F150 ran a stop sign and totaled the white 1996 coupe I was driving at the
time so I found my chance to look for a Mystic to replace it. The next night I
found my Mystic on Autotrader.com, I drove up to Dallas the following day and
bought it. My car was built Wednesday, February 28th, 1996 (and was sitting in
my garage for the first time 6 years to the day later) it was the 761st of the
1,999 Mystic Cobra Coupes made. It was sold to the original owner in
Richardson, TX and had one other Dallas area owner after that. Right now the
Mystic is my daily driver, and I don’t plan on doing a lot of mods to it,
other than handling and appearance type upgrades.
So far I have added or changed the following
items:
Steeda lowering springs, K&N CAI, C&L intake plenum, 17x9 chrome Cobra R
wheels, 2 chamber Flowmasters, Powerslot rotors, Alpine cass&6 disc
changer, FR500 steering wheel, Perforated leather interior seats, Clear fog
light lenses and Tail light sequencer kit. |
